Villa Spencer is a haven of peace located in a charming village. The house is ideal for spending time with family or friends, time stops… heated swimming pool, table-football, ping pong, pétanque make it a perfect holiday location… Well organized space gives guests the opportunity to be cosy together as well and affording privacy in the many indoor and outdoor areas offered by the house. The sumptuous garden open onto a green valley with magnificent views… I strongly recommend Villa Spencer..

This is such a beautiful villa, with gardens, views, beautiful pool, a lot of space, very stylish. We loved the piece and quiet as well as the proximity to the village!

Have to go into print on our magical 2 weeks stay at this little slice of paradise. They say the view is everything and it is spectacular but there is much more to enjoy in this very private place. The stone villa is perched on a south-facing hill-side with views on every side from the different levels of terracing and relaxing spaces all around for all day al fresco living. Below is the olive grove which used to form part of the estate apparently when it was owned by Earl Spencer in the 70’s. Not difficult to imagine Diana running around here when she was little.
The pool area is the centre of it all externally and has a summer kitchen with toilet and shower as well as fridge/freezer for those essentials! I particularly enjoyed the solar shower after my swim which is open to the elements and has to be the best view from a shower ever. Pool itself is a good size with a deep end for ‘proper’ jumping and diving. There are also some pretty effective massage jets to if you haven’t arranged your own masseur to be with you – everything seems to have been thought of at Villa Spencer.
The main garden table can seat 12 in the flower garden convenient to the kitchen where we enjoyed candle lit dinners long into the warm nights. The villa is surrounded by lawns, grassy terraces and lots of shade from trees including old olives, figs and all kinds of fruit and nut. Not difficult to find some quiet spots to relax in. We had great bbq’s and drinks in the evening sun on the west terrace with the uninterrupted view to die for.
When we wanted exercise we would arrange family ‘funathelons’ competing at table tennis, table footie, pool games and the petanque court in the lower garden (take supply of cool drinks with you and chill!).
The villa itself is beautifully renovated and appointed to a very high standard – I think we were the first to rent it and think the owners have got it just right. It would sleep 12 comfortably but although we were eight, because of the way the accommodation is arranged on 3 floors, it didn’t feel too big. The villa is very light and airy with 7 double doors onto the terrace opening to the lovely views on 2 sides. The kitchen is the house hub and is like a magnet for everyone – being spacious with a breakfast bar, everything Bosch, including twin dishwashers, a true paradise!
